SHIPPING TERMS & CONDITIONS
We
Accept International
Orders Over
the amount of $100(US)
from the countries listed below(*see bottom of page).
Before
placing any order for an international (outside US) shipment please be
sure to read and understand all the points listed below.

us if you have any questions.
To use our online checkout system, payment
must be made in United States funds, drawn on a United States Bank by
MasterCard®, Visa® or PayPal®. If you do not have a US based
credit card account, you may still place an order online but the actual
processing of the charges will take place at a later time when we
contact you by telephone.
*We will in certain circumstances accept
personal checks, please contact us for further details.
All orders that are paid with a personal
check will be held until funds have cleared banking process.
(this may take 10-20 days).

SHIPPING QUOTES
If you would like a shipping quote before placing an order you MUST
send us an email (contact
us)
that includes:
1.) Your
address(city
& postal code)
2.) The exact item(s) you would like to purchase.
3.) The quantity you would like to order.
TELEPHONE
CONFIRMATION REQUIRED AFTER SALE:
You MUST provide us
with a valid telephone number where we may reach you to confirm your
order. We
WILL CALL ALL customers that place international orders.
We WILL NOT EVER ship an order to an international customer
that we are not able to reach by telephone.
- It is
NOT required that you provide a phone number to receive a shipping
quote. We only require a telephone confirmation
call prior
to charging a credit card or prior to actual shipment.
- You will be asked a series of questions by
telephone to confirm your identity and the validity of the
credit card transaction. You
MUST be able to speak and understand English. We do not speak
Spanish
or any other language. If we are unable to to
have a
conversation with you where both parties can speak and understand each
other, we will not be able to complete the transaction.
- All
telephone confirmation calls are initiated BY US to you.
We do not accept calls placed by international customers, to our retail
store, as confirmation. We call you at an agreed upon time.
*Please note that any
shipping quote provided before the sale is just that, a quote, and is
in no way a binding agreement. Exact international
shipping amounts are
only provided after the sale has been completed through our online
checkout system. You will be contacted within 48 hours after a sale by
telephone or e-mail to approve all shipping costs.
- The
buyer is solely responsible for all duties,
customs, and any
other taxes that may be applied by your home country.
Please contact your local customs authorities to
find out what, if any, fees may apply.
- Canada
Customers: You should take special note of
the above point. When shipments are sent from the US into
Canada the
shipping carrier will charge additional brokerage fees and taxes. The
fees and taxes are based on a formula that is variable depending upon
the province in which you reside. *Larger items like fishing rods
CANNOT be shipped to Canada via US Postal Service due to package size
restrictions.
- Residents
of Canada & Mexico that have a US shipping address:
We will ship to your US address, but we may take additional steps to
verify your address which may include speaking to you by telephone
or e-mail. Shipping rates to a US address are calculated using our standard
US flat rate shipping table.
- We
will NOT falsify or otherwise
misrepresent customs documentation in an attempt to avoid customs taxes
and fees. We will not falsify the
stated value of an item nor claim that an item
is a "gift" to avoid any customs and import taxes.
Special
Note Regarding The Shipment Of Fishing Rods
Please be aware that any fishing rod that exceeds 46 inches(116.84
centimeters) in length, when packaged, is NOT eligible to be shipped
via
less expensive US Postal Service International services. If the package
dimensions exceed 46 inches (116.84 centimeters) it must be shipped via
UPS or Fedex International services.
*Shipments that
exceed 46 inches in length typically cost between $80-$120(US) to send
to the UK, Europe, Australia & slighly
less to Canada.

Placing
Orders For International
Shipments Online
Because
there is a wide variety in the types and sizes of packages
that we can
deliver and different rates, depending on the country and shipping
carrier used to send an item, it is necessary that we provide you with
a custom shipping quote after we receive your order placed online.
- You may proceed through the checkout
process and
select any shipping method you wish
BUT
PLEASE NOTE the amount of shipping shown in this initial stage IS
NOT the complete and total shipping amount for an international
shipment to your country.
- After
we have received your order we will contact you via telephone or e-mail
within 72 hours and provide you with the actual international shipping
charges. At that time, you may either accept or decline the
order.
*You
are under no obligation to complete an order if you feel the
international shipping fees are more than what you would like to pay.
If you decide to cancel the order it is not a problem as we
have not
yet charged your credit card in any amount. We have only done
a
"pre-authorization". We only complete your order and
charge your
credit card AFTER we have contacted you and received confirmation that
you agree and approve all international shipping fees. (*EXCEPTION: If Paypal is selected as the
method of payment the funds will be transfered
immediately, this is a function of the Paypal system, we have no
control over this part of the payment process. If after receiving our
international shipping quote you wish to cancel the order we
will immediately refund the transaction in full via Paypal)
- We
cannot emphasize this point enough: PLEASE
MAKE SURE you provide us with an easy way to contact you, preferably a
phone number. If we cannot reach you to confirm your order,
we cannot
ship your items. We may insist that we speak to you by telephone before
we ship any order.
Additional Terms
& Conditions
- We will
ONLY ship to a name and address that matches the billing name and
address of the credit card holder. Complete address
verification is necessary before any international orders are shipped.
- We only
ship international orders to a physical (street) address,
we do not ship to P.O. Boxes.
- Please
provide us with both your personal telephone number where we may reach
you directly AND the telephone number of the issuing bank credit card
(usually located on the back of the credit card.) Please use the
"notes" section during checkout to provide the issuing bank telephone
number as well as any other details.
- We will
require the signature of the card holder at the time of
delivery.
- Shipping
insurance is mandatory and will be factored in to the
shipping cost that we provide to you before shipment.
- We only
ship using expedited services and secure shipping carriers.
This is done to protect the safety of your order and help to ensure it
arrives quickly. We never ship
using slow
untraceable methods such as parcel post.
- Buyers
are solely responsible for providing a correct shipping address.
In the instance of any errors in a delivery address that cause delay
and/or the return of
a shipment, the buyer will forfeit all shipping costs and the order
will
be subject to a 15% restocking fee.
- All
international orders are sold without any expressed or implied
coverage that we (Hi's Tackle Box) will pay any return shipping costs
for ANY reason. International buyers accept all
responsibility in both
arranging and paying for any return shipments. International sales are
still governed by our standard 30-Day return policy. We will
accept
returns and issue refunds BUT under no condition will we (Hi's Tackle
Box) refund or reimburse international (non-US) customers for return
shipping fees or any associated customs taxes or fees incurred by the
buyer at the time of delivery.
