We Offer FREE Shipping On *All Orders Over $49!

The terms of our free shipping offer is simple! Place any item or combination of items in your shopping cart that exceeds $99 and you will automatically receive free shipping during the checkout process.

  • Free shipping offer extends only to customers in the US 48 states.
  • Hawaii & Alaska customers please note, there may be additional shipping charges on certain items. In situations when shipping rates need to be increased, we will contact you before shipment to have any additional charges approved by you before shipment.
  • Oversize Product Shipments. Certain(rare) products due to extreme size or weight do not qualify for "free shipping". This most often occurs with one-piece fishing rods that exceed 108 inches in length or extremely heavy or bulky items. *Please note that an item may or may not include information about additional shipping charges on the product description page. If  you purchase an item that requires additional shipping fees one of our staff members will contact you to discuss additional charges. You will be given the option to accept or decline the additional charges. If declined the order will automatically be canceled and no charges will be applied to your credit card.

We offer simple FLAT RATE shipping fees! The amount you are charged is based on the total amount of your order . No confusing weight based or zone shipping!

*We charge California State sales tax to customers with a CA billing and or shipping address. Any taxes are applied to items ONLY and NOT to shipping and handling fees.

Shipping Methods
Our goal is to deliver orders to customers as quickly as possible.  It is often the case that one shipping carrier is much faster delivering a package depending upon factors such as package size and delivery location. We reserve the right to make the final decision in the shipping method/company used to deliver all orders.  If you MUST have a package delivered with a specific carrier you MUST notify us using the "notes" section during the checkout process otherwise we will choose the carrier of our choice.

We ship using the fastest and most reliable methods available which include UPS Ground, USPS Priority, or USPS First Class. We NEVER ship using slow non-traceable methods such as USPS parcel post.
  • You can help to ensure the prompt delivery of your order by verifying the address and obtaining the Zip+4 code for shipments to your US address using the US Post Office National Address Server. Your order may arrive faster. 
    • Note: If your order is returned to us as undeliverable, and you still request that we resend the order to you, we will have to charge a second shipping amount to again ship your order.
    • Note: The above link to the US Postal Service address verification system is simply a convenient way for you to verify your address, it DOES NOT mean that we will be shipping your order via the US Postal service.

  • Please ship to a commercial (work) address attended during the day. If you provide a residential address, be aware that the recipient may need to pick up the package at the nearest post office or UPS facility if no one is home.

  • Please Note: Often customers will write instructions in the notes section during checkout making requests such as, "leave on the back porch" or "leave on the doorstep if no one is home". While we do not mind receiving these requests and we will do what we can to pass this request to the shipping company used, there is absolutely no guarantee that this request will be honored at the time of delivery. It is beyond our ability to control this request. In fact, most shipping carriers state in their terms and conditions that these request may not be honored. If you have concerns about the security of your delivery location, please contact us prior to shipment and we can make alternate arrangements.

  • Shipment of High Value Orders (usually over $250.00):  We may send your order  as "signature required".  This is done to protect the delivery of your order. The signature may be required to be the actual credit card holder or may be any adult present at the location. We (Hi's Tackle Box) reserve the right to choose the level of signature security required at the time of delivery. We realize this may create an inconvenience if you (the recipient) are unavailable at the time of delivery. If you feel this may create a hardship in your situation please contact us prior to shipment and we will work with you to re-route your order to an alternate address.

Expedited Shipping Requests & Information

We can accommodate special shipping requests such as overnight or 2-Day delivery, but these methods require that you contact us by telephone BEFORE your order is placed to verify that we can meet this request and provide a detailed shipping quote.
  • While we will honor a customer request to ship packages overnight it is VERY IMPORTANT that customers understand that all shipping carriers (UPS, Fedex, DHL & USPS) include a condition in their terms and conditions that DOES NOT GUARANTEE that expedited packages will be delivered on time if packages are delayed due to weather.
    *If a carrier determines that a package cannot be delivered due to a weather related condition, we (Hi's Tackle Box) will NOT REFUND expedited shipping charges. You (the buyer) should ONLY request expedited shipping if you fully understand and accept this policy and agree that you do so at your own risk.
Tracking Numbers - Insurance - Order Status
  • All shipments have insurance included in the cost of shipping and you will not pay any additional insurance charges.

  • We provide e-mail notification once your order has shipped.  This e-mail notice contains a link to the tracking numbers associated with your order.
    *Note: Some e-mail systems (Yahoo, AOL, Earthlink etc.) may block our automated post-sale communications. If this occurs, please use the methods below to discover your order status.

  • You may also check the status of your order by returning to our website and using  the "Order Status" link located at the top of every page of the website. You will login with your username, which is the e-mail address you provided during checkout and the password you created.

  • If you placed your order via the telephone please contact us for order status information.
*Note: In some cases orders are drop-shipped direct from manufacturers or suppliers.  In such cases, the order will be delivered via the shipping carrier that the supplier uses and no other option will be available. Please DO NOT assume that your order will be shipping from our San Francisco retail store location and do not use that location in an attempt to estimate delivery cost or time in transit.
