Uncle Josh Striper Candy Jigs

ONE of the hottest jigs we have going for striped bass fishing is the jig aptly named "Striper Candy" made by the folks over at Uncle Josh, the company made famous by their superior pork rind products.

The jig itself is based on the popular banana head style of jig and is armed with a salt water worthy plated O'Shaunessy hook.  What makes the Striper Candy stand out among other bucktail jigs is the way the bucktail is tied.

Since the demise of the famous Shim Jig, the Striper Candy is the only jig on the market with the flared bucktail collar.  This flared bucktail collar is the secret to its success.

When pulled through the water, this flared collar displaces a lot more water than the usual bucktail jig.  This provides two benefits; it makes it easier for fish to find in discolored water, and it allows for a slower retrieve.

It is no mistake that this jig is named Striper Candy because striped bass really do eat it up.
