We
have full time knowlegeable adult staff members and we are happy to provide a
wide
range of services to help get you outfitted for your next fishing trip.
We are anglers first, and we
enjoy the sport as much as you do! We are not like your local chain
store staffed with kids that really can't offer advice or
solid information. We are a full
stocking brick and mortar retail store, not just a web based operation.
We have been in business in San Francisco for over 25 years!
Our
knowledge is based on real world experience. We don't just talk about
fishing, we are fishing local waters and destinations all over the
globe!
We are experieced and knowledgeable about all types of fishing and
local conditions. From the San Francisco Bay, beaches and ocean,
California Delta, regional lakes like Clearlake, Berryessa, into the
Sierra Mountains to
Southern California saltwater fishing (We lead many offshore trips each
season aboard charters such as, the Royal Polaris and Shogun out of
southern CA.) We even lead a trip each year into the Amazon jungle for
giant peacock bass.
We know
what fishing tackle, gear and accessorries you need to be
successful!
In addition to providing helpful advice and fishing tips we
perform the following services for customers in our San Francisco
retail store:
Custom loading of
reels and spools including specialty/custom lines
& rigging.
We load fishing reels with new line using
our high speed line winders.
Reel cleaning and
adjustments.
Minor fishing rod
repair, including guide and tip
repair.
Custom rod building
& rod wrapping.
We sell selections
of live bait (worms etc; no
live fish bait)
We sell California
fishing licenses.
We don't just sell reels! We are a factory authorized repair center
for most major brands with our own in-house reel repair department. No
one knows more about fishing reels, let us help you make your next
purchase.
We are often consulted by large manufacturers such as
Okuma, Penn, Shimano and others to help design new reel designs and rod
specifications.
We cover it all from Tuna, Marlin, Sailfish to
local San Francisco bay species such as Salmon, Stripers, Halibut, Rock
Cod, Surf Perch, Sharks or Crab to Trout, Steelhead, Bass and Panfish
in the freshwater. You name it, if it swims, we have expertise and
tackle to help you make your next trip a success!
Our reel department is one of the largest available on the west coast,
and we make sure we always have on hand the the most popular reel
models as well as new models as they are released with each new season.
